Accident Death Plan You could never be replaced, but think how reassuring it would be to know your loved ones would receive a tax free lump sum if you died as a result of an accident. It could help ease their financial worries.
About the Plan Our Accident Death Plan lets you cover your partner and children too. The lump sum payment amount varies according to the type of accident and the plan you hold, with our standard product typically paying £500,000 for a Public Transport Accident, £50,000 for a Road Traffic Accident and £25,000 for most other accidents. A range of different amounts are paid for partners and children, and there is the flexibility to increase the level of benefits if you wish to. Premiums are fixed and don't increase with age - and you can keep your policy for as long as you like. Plus you don't need to undergo a medical.
Facts you need to bear in mind There are some situations that you are not covered for and some limitations on what will be paid out. This is a summary of the main exclusions and limitations of your policy.
You must be aged between 18 and 80 to take out this policy and reside in the UK for at least 7 months of the year.
Claims will not be paid if death:
is due to a pre-existing medical condition that you knew about when you took out the policy
is as a direct result of consumption of excessive alcohol or use of illegal drugs
is caused by a reckless or illegal act on your part
occurs while on duty as a member of the Armed Forces
occurs after 90 days of the accident

pilots and cabin crew are not covered while flying as part of their job.
